Chapter Philanthropy and Service

Philanthropy and service play a major role in the life of a Zeta Tau Alpha member. It is one of the most important... and fun aspects of sorority life. Since adoption as the Fraternity's national philanthropy in 1992, the focus of Breast Cancer research, education, screening, and treatment has brought enthusiastic support from Alumnae and collegians, whose mothers, grandmothers, sisters, and friends have been touched by the disease.

ZTA women work hard to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. We annually host the Big Man On Campus Pageant, Think Pink 5k, and a Think Pink Week.

Big Man On Campus is our annual "pageant" for collegiate men that allows us to raise money for Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. Each on-campus organization nominates a male member to perform and to help us fundraise for our philanthropy, and the event continues to be a huge hit.

Throughout the first week of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, ZTA hosts a campus-wide event called "Think Pink Week." There is an event every day that ZTA puts on to help raise awareness. We begin the week "pinking out" the campus by tying pink ribbons around trees, handing out ZTA ribbons, and promoting everyone to wear pink. This week is very important to us because although we are having fun we are also raising money and awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness and Education.

This past year, ZTA raised $4,599.99 between Big Man, Think Pink 5k, Think Pink Week, and other philanthropy events!

The NFL

Zeta Tau Alpha alumnae and collegiate members have worked with 23 of the 32 National Football League teams to increase awareness of breast cancer at professional football games.

Pink Out Games

PC ZTA's are honored to be the only Greek organization on campus to partner with the PC Athletic Department.  Members of our chapter partner with the athletic department twice a year to co-host pink-out games to increase breast cancer awareness in the community and spread our message.
